A carpenter, timber framer, and for the last 20 years a timber frame designer,
John Mumaw has been building and designing for the last 36
years.
With a background in boat carpentry, pattern making, and framing & trim carpentry John has a good understand of wood as a building material. His design experience began in 1987 with a position in the design department at Blue Ridge Timber Frame and then continued as head of the design department at Blue Ridge Timberwrights. John has been a member of the Timber Framers Guild since 1985 and a member of the Timber Frame Business Council since 2003 Projects have ranged in size from gazebos to a 30,000 sq. ft. winery. The design of complex and compound joinery is a specialty. |
